Cultivate Connections which Support Your Growth

By Connect, Thrive

On the surface it may seem too obvious to blog about putting your self in situations that support your personal growth. Unfortunately because we are creatures of habit and because many of us did grow up with some form of family dysfunction, sometimes  we switch to a default mode that may be self destructive just because it may seem familiar.

Remember to ask yourself, what connections or relationships did I go out of the way to cultivate because it will make me a better person? This could come in many different forms such as having coffee with an old friend who seems to leave you energized, signing up for a seminar, having a conversation with an artist at an exhibit or even helping a friend rebuild an old car.

Remember to stop rushing through life, remember to take the time to experience and initiate those things that feed your spirit. Cultivating those connections which empower you, will help you gain perspective and help to make life more meaningful to you.
